The camogie club was set up in 2006.  In a relative short time this club has risen to being a major force on the county camogie scene.  Our U10 team won the county title in 2008, 2009 and 2010.  The U12’s won the county title in 2010.  Our U14 team reached the county semi-final in 2009 and 2010.  In 2011 an U16 team was fielded and is proving to be a major boost for this age group. 2012 was the first year for the club to have a junior team while in 2013 the club now has two junior teams up and running.

The camogie playing season for our juniors starts in February/March, where they usually do fitness in the community hall for a few weeks before hitting the pitch and continues then until October November. Training takes place twice weekly at Craanford GAA Pitch and games are all played on evenings throughout the week or at the weekend. The club is always open to new members who are looking to start a new hobby develop their camogie skills or simply keep fit while having fun at the same time. The social side of the club is as equally as important to everyone involved as well as the competitive streak the game brings. For matches, our members make a point of going out together as a team and no one is ever left behind and the craic is mighty.

In October 2012, the junior team made history by winning their 1st ever county final with that year being their first year up and running. This for our junior team and also our club was a huge boost. Since the final in 2012 the junior team has doubled its numbers, so much that in 2013 two junior teams are entered into competitions.
